Crochet

One day a few years ago a good friend of mine said, hey I'm taking a beginners crochet course, want to join me? I had done some knitting before, but never crochet. 

 

Walked in and the instructor said since you each already know the basics, for this advanced class we have a special challenge…… we looked at each other and laughed. I did not even have a crochet hook.   But I was hooked!

 

I realized very quickly that my innate curiousity to learn and create easily translated to crochet. Before long I was modifying patterns and creatively adjusting. Making things for family and friends, and donating to those in need. It brings such joy!  Where possible I try to use yarn found at thrift stores or gifted from others leftover stash.

Or find something else creative...embroidery, beading, wood burning, pottery, sculpting, music, dancing, or just playing in a sandbox!
